Alto Steakhouse: Reviews & Ratings
Alto by Fabio Viviani delivers an exceptional steakhouse experience from start to finish. I began with the Wagyu meatballs, which were incredibly flavorful and are an absolute must-order. The 10 oz filet was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and expertly seasoned. For dessert, the pistachio crème brûlée truly stood out; it was unique, beautifully executed, and absolutely delicious. The presentation of each dish was stunning, and the overall quality of the food was outstanding. Service was excellent throughout the meal—attentive, professional, and welcoming. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a special night out. While the pricing is on the higher side, the quality more than justifies it. Alto by Fabio Viviani is a top-tier dining experience, and I would highly recommend it.
Amazing experience. Delicious food although my salmon was charred instead of blackened as I requested. Beautiful view. Paige was great and helped make our night special. Can’t wait to go back!
We ordered: -lobster bisque (6/10) it was too sweet for us -Jump shrimp cocktail (10/10) best tender I’ve ever had even the touch of it was soft. The cocktail sauce was so good too - Smoking Burrata cheese (10/10) this was bursting with so many unique flavors a must (order extra bread) - Rockafella Oysters (7/10) I enjoyed them but it had too much spinach for me - Spicy Creste Di Gallo (7/10) homemade noodles (I’m not used to them) were just okay and sauce lacked flavor - bone in Ribeye (10/10) flavorful Paige was sweet and patient with us as we took our time ordering.
Absolutely AMAZING! Cocktails are perfect, apps and food is DELICIOUS, our waiter Abraham was the truly the best, and dessert was just the cherry on top. Everything we had was so good. And ofcourse, the atmosphere and decor was a vibe. You need to go
We ordered baked gnocchi, bank rolls, king salmon with crispy Brussels + truffle honey, beef fat fries, a porterhouse, and carrot cake cheesecake. The baked gnocchi was our favorite (so good) and definitely something we’d come back for. The porterhouse comes with chef’s vegetables, salad, two sides, and dessert, which made it a great value. The steak and veggies could’ve been more seasoned for our taste, but adding truffle butter helped. Portions were generous, we had plenty to take home, and the overall vibe feels very downtown Chicago without leaving the south suburbs. Solid experience and we’ll definitely be back.
Start to finish Dorian (our server) knocked it out of the park. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection (medium rare plus) and Chef Derk Flanigan stopped by our table to hear our praises! To top it off, it was our anniversary and they brought us each a wonderful three small portion version of their desert offerings! Absolutely 100%recommend Alto by Fabiano!
Had the pleasure of dining at Alto for the first time—and it certainly won’t be our last. Our server, Maria, was phenomenal and took exceptional care of us. From helping us choose between entrées to her kind words, engaging personality, and outstanding hospitality, everything was top-notch. We ordered the porterhouse, which came with a salad, two sides, and dessert. Although not pictured, the tiramisu and sorbet were both exquisite and beautifully presented. The rest of the staff was equally attentive, accommodating us each time they passed by our table.
Very highly recommended . Having been to many steakhouses this I right up there. Will definitely be back. FYI 20% gratuity is included although the server did mention it beforehand. Make sure you make a reservation.
